CEF-5 Environmental Statement
The Caribbean Environmental Health Institute and CEF-5 partners are committed to minimizing the environmental impact and carbon footprint of the The Fifth Biennial Caribbean Environmental Forum and Exhibition (CEF-5), the Second Caribbean Sustainable Energy Forum (CSEF-2) and the 15 th Annual Wider Caribbean Waste Management Conference (ReCaribe) by:
- Reducing energy and water consumption at the event;
- Decreasing the amount of solid waste produced by the event or in preparation for the event;
- Minimizing or off-setting harmful emissions (including carbon emissions) resulting from vehicular transportation and energy consumption associated with the event;
- Disposing of solid and liquid waste in an environmentally responsible manner; and
- Eliminating the use of harmful chemicals at or for the event.
The CEF organizing committee invites the conference participants and exhibitors to contribute to the greening of CEF by:
- Reducing the amount of handouts, brochures and printed material distributed
- Using laptops for presentations, and distributing digital files instead of hard copies of presentations
- Where printed material is required: using duplex printing, print on recycled and recyclable paper (not glossy paper)
- Car pooling to the event (local participants).
We count on your support to make CEF 5 an environmentally responsible conference. |
